Oluwaseun was actually a birthday present from one of my sisters. At that point in my life, I wasn’t focused on relationships. I was just less than 2 years shy of living in Canada at the time and my main focus was securing the bag.

Sis called on my birthday to say she had a present for me but it was pending delivery. I told her not to stress knowing that anything sent from outside Canada comes with custom charges even if it’s a gift! *. She said it was a surprise and she hoped I’d like it. 

Every day after my birthday we talked about this mysterious present until she finally told me it was… a whole human. A human? wow! … How do you get a man wrapped in ribbons as your present *** . She knew I was not big on matchmaking, I always had an excuse when someone tried the matchmaking game with me.
